Every day, students from high school and college are preparing for their future plans, including mapping out their career goals. With so many fields and industries to choose from, several students decide to intern as a way to decide what's next for them. It's a great way for them to gain on the job experience to enhance their resume. It's also an opportunity to help them discover if they are interested in pursuing a career within a particular industry.
Connect Business Consulting understands the need for providing internships to students and we are excited to have them support us and our clients. Our newest intern, Max, is a high school senior preparing for college in the fall. His skills and innovative ideas made him a great fit for us. 1. What are your aspirations after graduating from high school?
I aspire to go to Morehouse College in the fall and major in business.
2. Why did you decide to become an intern?
I became an intern to grow as a businessman. After college, I aspire to create my own company, and by being involved in the growth of a company, I can better understand the business world.
3. What are you hoping to gain from your internship?
I hope to gain knowledge and experience in the business world. I also hope to grow my network of people who may be able to mentor me in the future.
4. What advice would you offer to another student interested in interning?
I would advise the student to get involved with something that he/she is proud to be apart of because if you have a positive outlook of your job, your work ethic will be greater.
5. Do you plan on interning in college and if so, what in what industry?
I do plan on interning in college. I want to intern in the fashion industry because it is something I am passionate about and would like to pursue after college.
6. What extracurricular activities do you currently (pre-COVID-19) participate in and hope to participate in once you start college?
In high school, I have participated in numerous sports and enjoyed staying active and healthy. In college, I would like to continue my journey as a student-athlete and grow in both my body and mind.
7. What are your top three favorite apps?
My three favorite apps are Snapchat, TikTok, and Youtube.
8. What’s your favorite quote?
My favorite quote is from a fortune cookie that I got from Panda Express, “Buy things because you need them, not because they are on sale.”
